The Buzstop Boys, a volunteer group focused on sanitation, have received praise from John Dramani Mahama, the former President and flagbearer of the opposition party,NDC. After holding a productive conversation with the youth group at his Cantonment office, the former president gave GH¢50,000 to support the organisation. Mr. Mahama arranged the meeting at his request because he was inspired by the group's gesture of voluntarism and wanted to offer encouragement.

The Buzstop Boys had the chance to talk about and highlight some of Ghana's sanitation problems and potential solutions during their meeting with the former president.
The former president was hailed by the Buzstop Boys' leader, Eng Kwadwo Safo, for acknowledging and valuing their contribution to cleaning up Ghana. He took advantage of the chance to inform Mr. Mahama of the group's goals and accomplishments to date.
