After a rigorous vetting process, the Electoral Commission (EC) has cleared 13 presidential candidates to contest in the upcoming 2024 General Elections. 



The nominees, representing various political parties and independent aspirants, successfully met the required criteria.


The EC thoroughly scrutinized the nominees' qualifications, ensuring compliance with the electoral laws and regulations. The successful candidates are:

1. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia - New Patriotic Party (NPP)

2. Daniel Lartey - Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP)

3. Akua Donkor - Ghana Freedom Party (GFP)

4. Christian Andrews - Ghana Union Movement (GUM)

5. Kofi Apkalu - Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG)

6. Mohammed Frimpong - National Democratic Party (NDP)

7. Nana Akosua Frimpomaa - Convention People's Party (CPP)

8. John Dramani Mahama - National Democratic Congress (NDC)

9. Hassan Ayariga - All People's Congress (APC)

10. Kofi Koranteng Twum - Independent

11. George Twum Barima - Independent

12. Nana Kwame Bediako - New Force Party

13. Alan Kyeremanteng - Movement for Change
